Our primary goal in creating this website is to show others the deals that are out in the marketplace for the same item or service. I meet people every day who are spending twice what they should be for basic internet service, three or more times what they could be spending for alarm monitoring service, and who haven't looked at alternative phone or electric companies that could save them money each month for the same service! With this site we identify an area to save in then try to list what we know are deals that are available to them today!
Some of our tips & ideas are about doing things a different way and not necessarily about changing service providers. For example educating people about paying monthly (forever) for TV reception versus paying one-time for a "good" TV antenna (we include education on what is a "good" TV antenna). Yes, depending on the channels you watch, some trade-offs might need to be made...but think for a moment how often do you really watch those cable only channels? Another example would be looking at the details of insurance deductibles, road hazard warranties, extended service protection plans, etc. and how you could do simple self-insurance with the money you save!
With most of our tips we solicit advertisers (website links) that are directly related to implementing that money saving idea. These links are a valuable resource for you to use to investigate the tip further and implement.
